Company / Binding & Finishing

Choose the binding that fits how the piece is read.

Binding types

Each binding method changes how the spine is built — which affects how the piece opens, how many pages it can hold, and how it costs to produce.

glued spine

Perfect Binding

Glued spine, flat and flush-trimmed on all sides.

stitched fold

Saddle Stitching

Stapled through the center fold; no glue.

punched + coiled

Wire Binding

Spiral wire through punched holes; pages lie flat.

board + hinge

Hardcover

Rigid board covers, oversized past the text block edge.

  • Perfect binding — glued spine, flat enough for a printed title. Standard for magazines, catalogs, and paperback books, 2pp increments.
  • Saddle stitching — stapled through the fold. Fast and economical for lighter page counts, 4pp increments.
  • Wire binding — spiral wire through punched holes. Lies fully flat, common for manuals and workbooks, 2pp increments.
  • Hardcover — case-bound with rigid board covers. For premium editions and collector runs, 4pp increments.
