Coating

• Gloss — high shine, strong color saturation. Standard for magazines, catalogs, and photo-heavy interiors.
• Matte — low glare, softer color rendering, easier to read under bright light.
• Uncoated — natural, paper-like feel. Common for literary books, journals, and text-heavy interiors.

Weight

Paper weight is quoted in gsm (grams per square meter) on this site regardless of the customer's home market convention — gsm is the one unit that compares consistently across mills. Typical interior stock runs 90–130gsm; cover stock runs 200–300gsm.

• 90–110gsm text — lightweight, common for high page-count magazines.
• 120–130gsm text — noticeably more substantial, used for premium editions.
• 250–300gsm cover — standard cover weight for perfect and saddle-stitch binding.

Choosing a stock

Request a sample kit before committing a large run — the difference between two gloss stocks at adjacent weights is easier to judge by hand than from a spec sheet.
